STAND UP DAY 2008

On 17th October 2008

46,868 students, parents and teachers
from Catholic schools in the Archdiocese of Melbourne stood up against poverty and in support of the

UN Millennium Development Goals

This formed part of a world record 116.9 million people around the world who
believe it's time to

MAKE POVERTY HISTORY

Whatsoever you do to the least of my brethren,
that you do unto me

On STAND UP day 2006, we had 471 people participating at St Aloysius, North Melbourne.

All have signed a pledge and it was also read aloud by all people present.

It was a really great day, followed by a rock concert at lunchtime in aid of the cause.
