SAFE FOOD - Do We Have A Choice ?

In Dec 2005, an International Safe Food Conference was convened in the Philippines to compare scientific research and hear testimony of farmers and community members involved with or living near genetically engineered crops.

Fr. Charles Rue of the Columban Mission Society was a delegate to that conference and is coming to St. Peters in East Bentleighand will be looking at the ethical and moral implications of corporations patenting life, Genetic Engineering (GE) and what they mean to us as Catholics.

Co Speaker - Sandra Taylor-Maqueda, Executive Director of The Cancer and Natural Therapy Foundation will discuss the relationship of food to serious illness and food for medicinal healing.

Donation: $3 includes afternoon tea.
